Metalcore band Archers release "Better Off" music video

Currently on tour in support of The Funeral Portrait, Wisconsin's own Archers have released a video for the clobbering, riff-heavy "Better Off". Love the big opening charge of the track. While it is a bit commercial sounding at times, the band sell it with conviction. It avoids sounding sterile through the clearly felt emotion and high energy at play.

"'Better Off' is about breaking free from a manipulative relationship and having the courage to set and enforce personal boundaries even when it’s uncomfortable," says the band.

“Better Off” is the lead single from their upcoming EP, Temporary High, due out June 13 via SBG Records. Produced by Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, Sleeping With Sirens), the band’s fourth EP showcases ARCHERS' evolving sound—a bold blend of blistering metalcore aggression and catchy, high-energy pop dynamics.

The band states, "Temporary High is all about finding catharsis. It’s about breaking free from toxic cycles and finding value in oneself apart from anyone or anything that would try to usurp one’s own identity."
