Ameokama's trans synthcore 'Energy Vampire' single is out today.
Ameokama, from ex- Dreamwell guitarist and recent Crippling Alcoholism compatriot Aki McCullough, is a true pioneer in the scene at the moment. The musician is a true transhumanist in recent Ameokama works, and I don't mean the shitty Elon kind. This is music for psychic chameleons pushing through to the other side for a better future that is inclusive and transgressive. And the music is exciting!
The new 2 song 'Energy Vampire' EP is accompanied by a music video filmed by Jane Cadogan, Eleanor O’Casaigh and Roxie Guryan from Eden Labrys, out today HERE.
"the moonlight leaks between the roof planks of this ruined house" is a lengthy live drone piece much creepier than the recent Cale and Charli XCX collab, recorded live on 10/2 at The First Presbyterian Church of Chicago.
As for the lead off track "energy vampire", it is a total synth banger that I told Aki reminds me of a less Nu metal Birthday Massacre sent through an Ameokama blender.
Darkwave inspired, the track "energy vampire" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Aki at her own Nu House Studios, with drums tracked by Pete Grossman at Bricktop Recording.
Enjoy!
Along with this and mighty Zola Jesus releasing the score to Saint Claire today, it is a lovely day for us dramatic weirdos.
